FREWEN TROPHY: 26/07/2008

Last Saturday on a lovely sunny afternoon the Frewen Trophy Tournament took place.It was a fantastic turnout as members came along to play with sixteen people taking part over four hours.Two groups of four pairs played with the top two pairs from each group going forward to the semi finals.After some splendid play in the group matches and even play-offs needed to determine final placings in each group it was Greg Burke and Colm Mc Donagh who progressed to play Chris Murphy and "dark horse" Micheal O Driscoll in the final.After a very entertaining final it was Greg and Colm who came through to claim the top prize. 

Well done to everybody who turned up on the day and with the lawns in splendid playing condition everybody really enjoyed the afternoon.Hopefully we can keep the numbers up for the next competition which will be played in the coming weeks.Information will be sent out nearer the time.

Thanks to all who helped prepare the sandwiches and tea during the afternoon which went down a treat during the break in play.
