Best of luck to Liam O Brien who leaves today to play for Ireland in San Diego in the World Team Tennis Veteran Championships from the 5th-12th February 2012.Chairman Mr. Eamonn Crotty made a presentation on behalf of RLTCC to Liam on his departure with the Irish team to San Diego.Well done and best of luck Liam.

Congratulations to last years winners, Sheila Stokes and James Cooney.
I would like to thank all those who took part last year and hopefully we will have an event for you again this year.
For the event to run this year I need more people to take part, to be able to sell it to the likes of Babolat.
So it will be done on a pre registered system this year.Therefore I need all tennis players to enter and also to sell it to their club mates.

Feedback from last year was not a lot of people knew about the league so no excuses this year !!!!!!!!!!!

So here's your chance to win 2 rackets, a racket bag, shoes and clothing, all you have to do is email me (rob_leahy@yahoo.co.uk) with your name and contact number.Closing date for entries is March 18th.

If there are enough entries at that stage I will run the event, and I will confirm sponsor soon after.

Members User ID numbers for the new booking system are now available
from the Senior tennis 2012 tab in the menu above.Please change the default pin number(1870) for your account on your first visit. 

The tennis calendar for 2012 for Senior,Junior and Vets are now available in the calendar tab in the main menu.  

The new court booking system is now live and courts from next Monday 9th Jan are now available for booking.Courts become available 8 days ahead of playing date.A list of members id numbers is available from the list in the hall. Members will need to top up their account in the bar to be able to book/pay for courts on the system.Click on "read more" to go to the booking system. read more ...

Tribes tournament begins on weekend 3rd/4th Feb on Friday and Saturday nights for five weeks.
Anybody wishing to play can put their name on the notice board in the bar
or contact Colum on 086-6574705.Please note the duration of the tournament and
that you can commit to a team for the five weeks.This is one the best in house tournaments in the club
where all members are asked to come and play.Please get your name in early and encourage

Congratulations to David Gardiner who won the Boys UN16 Singles at the National indoor Championships in Dublin this morning.Well done David. 

Congratulations to Conor Ahern who capped a great personal year of tennis by capturing the Saudi Cup played this week.In what was viewed as the best and most competitive competition held Conor topped the table with a total of 17 games won.
6 people tied for second on 16 games with Kevin O Donovan deemed runner up on the count back.
It was great to see the big entry (even two sent home!!) turn out on the day and Mick Walley presented the trophy to Conor after the event.Well done all.

Quick user guide for online booking

Every member has been assigned a user I.D and a PIN
Every members PIN has been set to 1870 (but we recommend you change this PIN the first time you log on)
User I.D’s are available on the notice board in the clubhouse.

To log into the online booking system in your address bar at the top of your home page type :www.ebookingonline.net/box/71

This will bring you to the booking home page.
Enter you user i.d and your pin (default 1870) and click “sign in”
We recommend at this stage that you click on the manage account tab and change your pin number.
We also recommend you enter a valid email address in the relevant box, the system will then send you an email confirmation every time you book a court.
When you book a court.

PLEASE NOTE YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO BOOK A COURT IF YOU HAVE SUFFICENT CREDIT IN YOUR ACCOUNT.
CREDIT CAN BE ADDED TO YOUR ACCOUNT BEHIND THE BAR AND THERE IS NO MIMIMUM AMOUNT.

To book a court:
When logged on to the booking screens select your date in the bottom right hand corner.
Then click on the court time you require, there is a next button on the top right of the screen to see more courts
After clicking on the court you want you will see the following box.

Your own name will appear in player 1
You will then have the option to enter the names of the other players if you wish
However you don’t have to and you can confirm the booking with just player 1
If you do this 10 euro will be taken from your credit.
If you do enter a player 2 just click on the box and type the first 2 or 3 letters of the players surname and hit the magnifying glass and choose the player from the drop down menu.
If you enter 2 players after clicking confirm 5 euro will be taken from each player
If you have 4 players entered 2.50 euro will be taken from each player etc.
All players entered will receive a confirmation email.

Booking courts can also be done over the telephone and in the clubhouse on the touch screen terminal at the bar.
The only difference is that you will have to have credit in your account to book a court.

Congratulations to our Winner Carol Daly with 215 points who just edged ahead of long time leader Vincent Goggin 210 points with Mark Webber winning the last F1 Grand Prix and Third overall in the drivers standings.
